SERVING ONLY FIRST RESPONDERS & THEIR FAMILIES
Our Founder
Restoration First Responder Network partners with police departments, dispatch centers, and fire departments across California, providing top-tier mental health services. We offer crisis intervention, command staff consultation, direct counseling services, and peer support training and development. Founded with a deep commitment to care for our own, we address the unique needs of first responder families.

What sets us apart is our personal connection to the community we serve. Most of our team members are retired first responders or are closely related to one, ensuring we understand the challenges and pressures firsthand because we also live them. All our mental health clinicians are licensed psychotherapists or associate psychotherapists in the state of California. Each has specialized training and experience, specifically for working with first responders. Our goal is to provide compassionate and practical support, helping first responders and their families navigate the stresses and demands of their crucial roles so they can remain healthy and continue to serve their community.
Sherie Mahlberg is the founder and leader of Restoration First Responder Network, LLC., and Restoration Family Counseling, Inc. (RFCC), both California-based organizations dedicated to serving first responders and their families. The mission of these organizations is deeply personal for Sherie, as she established Restoration Family Counseling to address a critical gap she identified through her own experiences: the scarcity of behavioral health providers who truly understand the first responder culture and its unique challenges.
Coming from a family with a strong tradition of service, Sherie has firsthand insight into the life of first responders. Her husband is a battalion chief in the fire department, and her oldest son, a police officer, are just two of the many family members involved in the first responder world. This personal connection has equipped Sherie with specialized knowledge and a profound understanding of the behavioral health needs of first responders.
Restoration is positioned to provide quality care that honors our state's public servants. Sherie and her team of clinicians offer a wide range of services designed to help first responders, their families, and their agencies deal with the unique challenges that first responders' families face.
